Successful mornings don’t just happen on their own.
If you’re anything like me you like to hide in bed as long as possible, or until you can’t stand your children constantly opening the door asking for this or that!
I know what you’re thinking, the bed is warm and cozy and you’re not ready to get up! Rolling out of bed can seem like a daunting task.
But it doesn’t have to be that hard. With a few simple steps you can get your morning started off on the right foot!

Crystal Paine of MoneySavingMom.com has created a 14-day course, Make Over Your Mornings, that walks you, step-by-step, through a process that creates a routine that will:
- Prioritize nourishing your soul before launching your day
- Streamline your mornings (and your whole day)
- Create a to-do list that serves (not strangles)
- Establish accountability

So true! I think your Make the Bed section might be missing . . . It makes such a difference to be up before the kids. This morning was a rough one so I kept trying to give myself little wins: 1. I made the bed. 2. I had a big drink of water. 3. I did a little exercise. Then my little ones needed me but it helped turn what could have been a really rough morning into a good one!
Thank you for such helpful tips. I especially love the “nourish your soul” first.
Love all of these ideas. I will take them to heart.
Thank you for the very good ideas.
Sounds great! I could totally change my morning routine, I actually need to!
I used to hate being a morning person but making a to do list for in the morning of things I liked to do helped me so much
This sounds like a fabulous course … my mornings could use a little makeover!
I used to haaattteee mornings! But I love them now. part of it is going to bed at a decent time but the other part is doing my to-do list BEFORE I go to bed so i don’t wake up scrambling!
I love this! My morning routine is so important for me. It sets the tone for the rest of the day. Great post, I love hearing what you suggest. I need to do a better job or organizing my mornings, and sticking to that list!
Hey Crystal,
This is so PERFECT! Love that bit about to-do lists that serve, not strangle. How many of us are drowning in to-dos? Too many, I say!
I am going to share!
Your post should be best friends with my, “7 Quick Ways to Sleep Better” post from a few weeks ago. We’re both about the doing less, and caring for you instead of trying to just get stuff done.
Thanks for the tips,
