It’s that time of year again homeschoolers! Let’s take a look at SchoolhouseTeachers.com!
With the start of a new year, I thought it was a good time to write an updated review of the Ultimate PreK-12 Annual Membership from SchoolhouseTeachers.com.
The membership gives you access to 450+ courses for the entire family. From toddlers all the way up to mom and dad, there is something for everyone! With your membership, you also receive a complimentary issue of The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine and other members-only bonuses.
If cost is a factor for you when you’re looking for a curriculum, you can rest assured that the membership is very reasonably priced. The whole family uses one membership, which means you don’t need to have multiple accounts for multiple children.
From now until the end of Jan 2021 you can get a monthly membership for just $16/month with the code START16 or a whole one-year membership for just $139/year with the code START139.
What will you find inside SchoolhouseTeachers.com?
If I were to list off every single course or resource available to you through this wonderful website we’d be here for days! There is just so much available in so many areas for all age groups. It may sound overwhelming at first, but it is quite well organized, with everything in its place.
You will find all of the standard subjects for each grade level plus TONS of elective courses too! There are also planning resources, a section for special needs, a Just For Parents area, and even monthly menu plans! With my oldest child about to be a highschooler soon, I am really enjoying reading through the information in the Highschool Help section!
You can browse the courses by grade or subject which makes it really easy to find what you need, either to supplement what you’re already using or to piece together a full, customized curriculum for each child.
But what if the thought of all those decisions makes you cringe?
Have no fear! One of SchoolhouseTeachers’ new resources is full curriculum “boxes”. They have done all the work for you and have put together a complete curriculum for each grade. The “box” will direct you to each area of the site you’ll need to visit for each subject. You can print off the lesson plans which have super handy boxes you can check off for each day to keep track of your child’s progress.
What we’ve been using…
One of the resources I really love is the Independent Morning Work for Kinders! My youngest is not quite 5 yet and won’t be an official kindergartener until the next school year but he always wants to do his own school whenever he sees the older two working on theirs. These daily worksheets are a great way to let him “do school” too without overwhelming him.
What do we think?
We’ve used SchoolhouseTeachers.com in the past as well (you can see my previous reviews HERE (2020 review) and HERE (2018 review)) and my opinion still holds strong. SchoolhouseTeachers.com is a great resource for homeschool families! I like that it can be used as a supplement or as a full curriculum and that one membership is good for the entire family. And you can’t beat the value you get for the price; all of those resources in one place makes this a no brainer to add to your homeschool.
